What Rich White Says
Rich White, the executive director of Car Care Council said
that brake safety system is at top of the list as it comes to car safety. He
suggested that we should have brakes checked by one auto service professional
in at least once in a year. He added that we’re supposed to see the key warning
hints about brake maintenance to keep drivers safe on the way.
The Hints
At least seven hints recommended by the Car Care Council the
drovers must watch why brakes require inspection. You should really know these
for brake safety awareness. The first one is noise. Grinding, clicking, or
screeching noises as applying the brakes must be considered as the first sign.
Next is about pulling. It’s as the car pulls to a side while it brakes. The
following is low pedal. It’s when brake pedal almost touches the floor before
it engages. Next is hard pedal. You must apply great pressure to the pedal
before the brakes engage.
Grabbing is the fifth sign. It is brakes capture at the
slightest touch towards the pedal. The following hint is vibration showing that
brake pedal pulses or vibrates, even if it’s under normal braking conditions.
The last hint is light. Brake light gets illuminated upon vehicle’s dashboard.
On any vehicle, brakes remain a normal wear item needing to
be replaced in the right time. Factors that are able to affect brake wear
consist of operating conditions, driving habits, brake lining material’s
quality and the vehicle type. That’s it about brake safety awareness you must
have in mind.
